Said the Maiden
Winners of Bristol Folk Festival's Isambard Folk Award in 2015, this bright dynamic all-female trio from Hertfordshire are relatively new on the folk scene and are already well loved. Made up of Jess Distill, Hannah Elizabeth and Kathy Pilkinton, Said the Maiden sing traditional songs from around the UK and America, accompanying evocative harmonies with a varied instrumental range to include guitar, mandolin, percussion, woodwind, violin and accordian. They have supported many well-known artists including The Fisherman's Friends, Clannad, Jim Moray, Megson and Martin Carthy.
